The time has come! From 26th to 29th January the ISPO Munich opens its doors again. This year’s motto is “Be active”, which appeals against the global lack of exercise. As a multi-segment trade fair, ISPO has served for several years as a source of inspiration and business driver at the same time. In addition to numerous exhibitors, several events are also on the agenda. This year we can look forward to the following highlights:

„Be active“ – sport for a healthy society

As the WHO confirms, almost one in three adults is too inactive in terms of sport. In addition, a recent WHO study shows that almost 20 percent of 11-17 year olds do not exercise enough. ISPO Munich sees these figures as a motivation to work against the global lack of exercise. Under the motto “Be active”, the relevance and connection between sport, health, nutrition and mental strength is to be pointed out. Innovations in the sports business offer completely new opportunities to draw attention to social problems such as health problems or environmental and sustainability issues and to become involved as a solution provider.

The focus areas: Lectures, workshops and supporting programme

In various focus areas, the topics just mentioned are to be made tangible. Diverse industry experts will present innovative concepts in the fields of sport, fashion and lifestyle and answer questions about sporting developments in connection with society. The following focus areas are definitely worth a visit:

  • Body & Mind: In hall B3 everything revolves around the topics of fitness, health and the holistic view of people and their environment. Every day, various experts will give lectures in areas such as “Biohacking & Neuroathletics” or “Yoga & Wellbeeing”.
  • ALPIN Snow & Safety Summit: Safety on and off the slopes is always an important topic. Panel discussions with sports equipment manufacturers, specialist dealers as well as representatives from associations and politics will take place. Trade visitors will be introduced to topics such as recycling of hardshell jackets, PIN and ski tour bindings or airbags in live events.
  • ES_COM Electronic Sports Competition & UNILEAGE eFootball: eSports has also become an integral part of the sports industry. Visitors can get to know the eSports industry in workshops and lectures and watch show matches.

In addition to the trade fair itself, the “ISPO Munich Sports Week” in Munich and the surrounding area also invites visitors to engage in physical activity. As you can see, the ISPO Munich offers its visitors a lot and should definitely be noted in the calendar. Save the date!
