Brad Luiten has broken the golf world record for a good cause

/NEWS

237 holes in 12 hours – this is the new world record in golf! But this is not without background: Brad Luiten wants to create attention for bowel cancer.

The previous world record of 2005 was 221 holes in 12 hours. The 35 year old New Zealander Brad Luiten reached the new world record with only one 6er iron and a handicap of 11! According to own data he plays only about 4 times a year golf.

Luiten played 13 full 18-hole rounds at the Helensville Golf Club with a distance of 100km!

The reason for his record: “A friend passed away last year from bowel cancer, it’s all about that today” he said hoping to raise awareness for the deadly disease.
