Surf veteran Kelly Slater proves it once again. At the Billabong Pro in Tahiti, he won the last stop of the World Surf League’s top tour.
Kelly Slater may already be 44, but on the surf board he acts like a 25 year old athlete. Speaking about surfing, the surfing legend still sets the benchmark. During the World Tour contest in Tahiti – the last stop of the World Surf League – the American veteran still dominates all his competitors. With a fantastic ride, Slater beats the young Hawaian surf talent John Florence, who towards the end of the contest injured his knee. Having already won the world champinship eleven times, Slater could now win his first WSL after more than two years. Curious?
