Dominic Thiem – the most offensive force at the BNP Paribas Open

The BNP Paribas Open is the most attended tennis event in the world besides the Grand Slam series. This year, the Austrian player Dominic Thiem, nickname “The Dominator”, was identified as one of the most offensive forces in the ATP World Tour.The BNP Paribas Open took place in the beautiful and sunny Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The most famous tennis players from all over the continents met there in march to compete against each other. It’s not only a pleasure for the tournament participants to play in Coachella Valley, known for its 354 days of sunshine a year – the visitors also enjoyed the competition in the second largest tennis stadium in the world. Dominic Thiem, who was born in a small town in Austria and who has been playing tennis since he was 6 years old, showed an impressive game. “Nobody hits the ball bigger than he does,” said of ESPN commentator Brad Gilbert about Thiem, and that’s true. So the young Austrian reached the quarter finals.

Maybe his tough schedule last year is the reason why he showed such good results. Thiem played 28 tournaments, no less than 82 matches and won 52 of them. We’re impressed and looking forward to see him next year at the sunny Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
