Wakeboard or Wakeskate? What’s more fun? The IBS-Team asked the Insider Dirk Mävers and put together the advantages and disadvantages of both:

Wakeboarding: Advantages

  • Big variety of tricks
  • Well know sports / large community
  • Easy to learn

Wakeboarding: Disadvantages

  • Expensive equipment
  • Big risk of injuries
  • Need of a cable or a boat

Wakeskating: Advantages

  • challenging variety of tricks
  • low costs for equipment
  • can be done almost everywhere with a winch

Wakeskating: Disadvantages

  • medium risk of injuries
  • hard to get the hang of it
  • small community
