The most successful Windsurf World Cup ended with an incredible finale and fascinating freestyle tricks. We’ll show you the winners and highlight here:

The 34rd Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup in Sylt ended on Sunday. The last day was closed with a spectacular freestyle finale from Amado Vrieswijk and Jose „Gollito“ Estredo. The 10 days were filled with fantastic challanges in the disciplines waveriding, freestyle, slalom and wind foil. The whole world could watch the event via lifestream.

 

225.000 visitors were on this year’s event and so it was the most successfull Windsurf World Cup in history.

 

The results
Freestyle:

  • 1st place: Jose „Gollito“ Estredo, 7th WM-Champion
  • 2nd place: Amado Vrieswijk
  • 3rd place: Adrien Bosson

 

Slalom:

  • 1st place: Matteo Iachia
  • 2nd place: Gonzalo Costa Hoevel
  • 3rd place: Julien Quentel

 

Waveriding:

  • 1st place: Alex Mussolini
  • 2nd place: Thomas Traversa
  • 3rd place: Jaeger Stone

 

Wind Foil:

  • 1st place: Antoine Albeau
  • 2nd place: GonzaloCosta Hoevel
  • 3rd place: Sebastian Kornum

Next year the Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt takes place from September, 29th to October, 9th 2017. Of cause this will be also a breathtaking event.
