Tropical vibes, extreme winds and a never ending swell – these are the ingredients for the new brand movie of Brunotti. Follow seven surf heroes during their adventure in South Africa. Our expert Youri Zoon is one of them!

To weeks ago, sportswear brand Brunotti launched its new movie „Get On Board“. Seven high-class riders explore the waves of the Atlantic & Indian Ocean in South Africa. The motto: „Celebrate the good life, chase the wind and enjoy world-class waves“.

Our expert Youri Zoon is also part of the movie. In a short interview, he is telling us about the shooting for the movie, the different locations – and about what is going on behind the scenes.

InspiredBySports: Can you give us a short outlook about the upcoming movie “Get on board” and what it is about?

Youri: “Get on board” is the brand movie from Brunotti, the movie is more about showing our team and the good vibes we have instead of showing a hardcore kite movie.

InspiredBySports: You are traveling to amazing spots around the globe – can you tell us about your favorite one so far and your favorite spot in the upcoming movie?

Youri: We shot the movie in Capetown, wich is always incredible. Recently I have also been to the Maldives, which is pretty stunning as well!

InspiredBySports: What is the most challenging thing while traveling?

Youri: Being Away from home, but this is also a nice part because you get to meet new people.

InspiredBySports: It always looks so easy and perfect in a movie, but how are things really going down while shooting it?

Youri: Haha, yes it does! This always takes a lot of work and many tries, and most of them take as long as days! But the result is worth it, and that is the most important thing.

InspiredBySports: How many tries did you need for your hardest trick?

Youri: Countless! Haha! But it’s worth every try when you finally land it.

InspiredBySports: Last but not least, what are your plans for the upcoming season and did you manage to get the right preparations in the off season?

Youri: I have been training for a month in Australia, this hopefully is enough to secure a third world title, because that’s the goal for sure!
