The DAVIDOFF Cool Water Windsurf World Cup on the island of Sylt is the biggest windsurfing event worldwide!
More than 200.000 people travel to Sylt to watch the best windsurfers worldwide performing some crazy tricks, jumps and fast-paced rides. For a period of 10 days, the athletes compete against each other in different categories: slalom, waveriding and freestyle – making the event a super grand slam!
Reason enough for celebrations at the “Octoberfest of the North”, when the escalating parties turn the nights into days in and around the event area. During the day, the visitors will face a substantial offer of sporting activities and entertainment. At a demanding spot, the surf world elite is fighting in different disciplines for the trophy money and the important world rank points. Anyone who has not yet experienced the flair in live – definitely missed out on something. No matter whether he is a surfer or just InspiredBySports.

PROGRAM
The worldwide biggest windsurfing event is organized by the marketing agency ACT Agency, based in Hamburg. The competition director is going to announce the wind conditions at the morning Sailors Meeting. The competition phase normally takes place between 10am and 6pm. However they can easily shift sessions before or after the usual time slots. The diverse Side-events at the Brandenburger beach begin daily at 10am. In the evening, “N-JOY the Party” is responsible for the musical entertainment. With live DJ’s and great mix tapes they are rounding up the exhausting sportive days quite well! A stand-by-contest is also planned: the Philips Windsurf Night Session, where Freestylers and waveriders present their best tricks and jumps at night with great lighting. On top of that, a SUP competition is planned for all the participants. The daily routine will be announced via the event radio on site.

The DAVIDOFF Cool Water Windsurf World Cup Sylt is extraordinary – in every respect! The event is the only stop of the world tour in Germany and is also the unique feature of the Super Grand Slam.
