Short film release: Rome SDS crew opens snowboarding season

/NEWS

It’s always a day to celebrate when your local mountain opens for the new winter season. The European regional team of Rome SDS knows that as well, and documented their first sessions with a short film named “Localism” that has now been released.

As early as in the beginning of October, the first glaciers in Austria began to open – so the SDS team was very motivated to hit the slopes for the first time this season. They made their way to the parks of Hintertux, Kaunertal and Stubai to show off their freshest tricks.

The European crew, consisting of seven young and talented athletes, hails from many different scenes. This is why each of them brings a different approach and lots of different cool tricks to the glaciers.

Their trips to the mentioned parks have been well documented by Rome’s very own do-everything man Eddie Rakete, who had the great idea to capture the great passion for snowboarding that exists at Rome. On his own accord, he took a break from the office and made it to the glaciers together with the team.

There he managed to get great footage of the team’s excitement of finally being on snow again, and made a whole short film out of it. In “Localism”, which can be found below, you can see the up-and-coming talent and of course some stunning tricks and stylish jumps of the European regional Rome team.
