Windsurfing Legend Bernd Flessner is looking for your Perfect-Move
The spots are determined, the photographer with his equipment is already in his starting gate, the brand-new trial-equipment of 2017 by Neil Pryde is on board and we are ready – your Perfect-Move is wanted! Actually it is not an easy challenge, because every windsurfer has his own ideas of the perfect move on the water. So great to have the windsurf legend Bernd Flessner on Board and he will present his personal hints here.
How could I describe my perfect move? Where I have to go to pull my perfect move through? Questions after quesions hat interest me for some time and in terms of the Mercedes Benz Windsurf World Cups Sylt 2016. Especially when I have a look at the newcomers: wild kids who try nearly everything on the water to stand out and to be successful. Whether in Slalom, Freestyle or Wave – to do a trick or a jump, which could then be referred as „perfect“, need a lot of patience, experience and a little luck. If all is well, we will see at the World Cup on Sylt!

The PERFECT-SPOT
First of all it could be the spot, where the move should works out. When the wind and water conditions are just right, a lot of cool spots can be approached in Germany during summer and fall. I´m always looking for side shore wind, that means the wind comes parallel to the beach from the side. Besides there are some more cool spots in different inland waters, near our coast.
Of course, the conditions are much better on Norderney or Sylt. So we can look forward to the big Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt 2016 – Now only wind and weather have to be right!

When the wind direction and the wave height are right, we already can start!
Preparation means perfection and at first of all fun
At all these different events and contests I took part of, you always had to compete against others. That already applies to the contests today. You need a good preparation and a great performance to win. That usually means having the right equipment.
This year I got my canvas from Neil Pryde in a limited color. In the 1990ies every team rider got his own sailing color. Referring to my new V-Class Exclusice AMG-Line we have the canvas in the same blue color. Those canvas in this colorway are unique in this world. Therefore my perfect move is looking more stylish – although it doesn’t mean yours isn’t looking as good as mine or even better.
Unser Our equipment is in the cargo bay and we can go to the spot to try the Perfect-Move. You still need a dash courage! How is it? Do you have what it takes to do a perfect move?
As part of the PWA World Tour, at the end of September, professional windsurfers compete in the Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt. You can gaze at the professionals at the beach of Brandenburg in Westerland on Sylt from the 30th September to the 9th October. In the discipline wave, slalom and freestyle it gets down to business on the water.
