Trends, Technology and Sportswear – ISPO Munich 2018
Whether fitness tracker or wireless sports headphones. The sports industry currently comes up with very exciting developments. And there is no better place to marvel at them than the ISPO Munich 2018. InspiredBySports explains why you should not miss the fair at the end of January 2018.
8 sports categories, 16 fair halls, 2,700 exhibitors – that’s the ISPO Munich 2018. The largest trade fair for sports business will take place in the Bavarian state capital from the 28th to the 31st of January. Snowsports, Outdoor, Health & Fitness, Urban, Teamsports, Vision, Trends, Innovation & Industry Services and Manufacturing & Suppliers. All these sports categories will be represented at the fair to introduce their new products. Thus, as a trade visitor, you get a complete market overview. Whether technologies, trends or sports fashion – ISPO covers everything.
Worth the Hype
It´s out of question that the ISPO Munich is worth a visit. Last year 85,000 trade visitors from 120 countries attended the fair, what reflects its importance and the existing interest. In addition to the high number of visitors ISPO was also a great success for the exhibitors: 97 percent were so enthusiastic that they announced to come back in 2018.
That´s a good thing as the products they introduced in 2017 were already pretty exiting. Amongst the winners were:
The RIBELLE TECH OD by SCARPA, which is a year-round allround mountain boot that can be used for trekking and mountaineering (Category: Outdoor)
The SelectTech 560 dumbbells from Bowflex. An intelligent dumbbell that guides the athlete through the workout like a personal trainer and also gives feedback (Category: Health & Fitness).
The BD 3D SCANNER VANDRA by BOOTDOC, which is able to make a three-dimensional image of the customer’s feet within seconds and uses the measured data to determine suitable ski boots and insoles (category: skis).
What we can expect from ISPO 2018
And this year promises to be exciting again. In addition to the exhibitors, ISPO 2018 offers a comprehensive supporting program. Well-known personalities such as sports professionals, successful entrepreneurs or health experts will appear in person. You can for example look forward to meet Phillip Köster, the four-time surfing champion. Franziska van Almsick (multiple World champion and European champion in swimming) will be on-site as well and contribute to the program. At the ISPO showroom, you also get to know the entire spectrum of ISPO Business Solutions. Whether ISPO Job Market for linking talents and employers or ISPO Academy with workshops, conferences and podium discussions: Here you can find out which services ISPO offers to support you all year round.
Don´t miss it out!
Not everyone interested can visit ISPO Munich 2018: The trade fair is a B2B industry meeting. Therefore, private individuals don´t have access to the trade fair. However, those who practice a profession in the sport business should not miss the fair. Instead of getting annoyed about long queues on the spot, you should rather get a ticket online as it is also beneficial in terms of prices. A day ticket is available online for € 26 (on-site: € 39), the 4-day ticket costs € 39 (on-site: € 56). Those who do not come from Munich should take a closer look at the ISPO Card (79 €), as it includes an airport shuttle as well as discounts for various hotels.
We are curious to see which new products and trends will be presented at the ISPO Munich 2018!
