The weather in march is usually pretty moody. So you shouldn’t rely on outdoor sports in order to stay active during early spring. We’ll show you some good indoor activities.

There are typically two types of weather in march. On the one hand it can be very warm and sunny. On the other hand it is pretty cold and stormy. In order to get your workout in we present you 4 indoor sports activities that can take place despite the bad weather and provide quite a lot of happy hormones.

1. Play squash

This indoor sport is for those who want to burn calories. Squash is played regularly in a duo, but you can also play it in a match. You only need a racket, a ball and indoor sport shoes. The goal is to hit the ball against a wall and to never miss it. On the rebound, the ball should hit the ground only once, until the other player takes another swing.   In doing so, one can literally chase the partner across the room. Those who have tennis skills or quick reflexes have a clear advantage in this sport. But don’t worry, even if you have never played squash or tennis before, you can still succeed in this kind of sport.

2. Indoor volleyball

Already in school days, most came into contact with the sport. What is also often seen as a summer sport in the form of beach volleyball can also be ideally transferred to the hall. All you need is a volleyball, two teams and a good mood. For those who just want to play the ball a bit back and forth, it is of course enough to play in a smaller group.   In many larger cities, in addition to normal sports halls, there are also extra volleyball courts that are filled with sand. This creates a certain summer feeling indoors, despite the dreary weather outside.

Archery is one of the sports that are not common. Nevertheless, sports fans should try this sport once. Unlike other sports, archery requires a lot of concentration and patience. A sharp eye and a steady hand help to decide the sport for yourself. The aim of the sport is to hit a target with the help of a bow and an arrow. The arrow should land as close to the center of the target as possible in order to score a high number of points. The indoor game is also suitable for newcomers who are looking for a new hobby.

4. Indoor surfing

Normally, everyone thinks of endless beaches, warm temperatures and bright blue sea when they think of surfing. But you don’t need to travel to Hawaii or Portugal for a short surf session. Some indoor swimming pools offer a facility for surfing in addition to the usual wave pools. Jochen Schweizer and Wellenwerk are just two of many providers.

Whether beginner or professional – everyone is welcome to indoor surfing. Beginners should first glide through the water with the support of a pole. Advanced surfers can demonstrate their skills right from the start. The necessary equipment can of course be rented on site. No matter if beginner, advanced or profile, fun is guaranteed for everyone. Going on vacation for surfing is completely overrated.

Statement

So if you want to be active despite the changing weather conditions, you should try an indoor sport.
