Spikeball – Discover the trend sport in more detail
Everyone has the desire to really work out again. But the usual sports have simply become too boring. If you want to try something new and like to play in a team, the trend sport spikeball is just the right thing.
Spikeball is the trend sport in recent years. With its simple rules, a lot of fun and many possibilities, spikeball is very attractive for young and old. But spikeball is not a newly invented sport. Already in 1989 it was known as Roudnet and was played on the streets and parks. Then in 2008 spikeball made its comeback.
Basic rules and gameplay
If you don’t like long rules and complicated sports, you will love Spikeball from the very beginning. The sport is easy to learn and there are only a few rules. The focus is all on fun and movement. The goal is to play the ball onto the net on the ground in such a way that the opponent can’t reach the ball and play it back.
There are always two teams with 2 players each. The playing field is the entire surface, on which each individual moves. Unlike volleyball, there is no marked out playing field. To open the game, one player hits the small yellow ball on the net. This automatically makes the other team’s turn.
Similar to volleyball, their task is to keep the ball in the air and hit the ball back to the net with a maximum of three touches. Of course, it is also allowed to pass the ball directly back to the opposing team, without savoring the three rallies.

So if you like spikeball and want to try it out, you need the right equipment. For this there are various sets that can be bought everywhere:

Spikeball can even be played on the water. With the right additional equipment, it’s child’s play and even more fun.
Spikeball is actually represented in every German city. Online you can already find many communities, events and competitions all over Germany. Some clubs are already trying to set up departments where spikeball enthusiasts can network and train together.
