Snow, fun and action: Check out the coolest snow kite camp in Norway!
Just imagine: A snow kite camp at the end of the world! More specifically in Haukeliseter Fjellstue in Norway. Jana Schader was there and she loved it. “It is like an adventure trip with all the comfort you can imagine at the same time.”
I’ve been kiting on water for five years now and I was always dreaming about snow kiting in Norway! So I decided to fulfill my dream and just went there. When I arrived at the camp, I thought I was at the end of the world. But I felt comfortable and received a warm welcome. This special camp is a snow kite camp for beginners and advanced kite surfers, so I could choose between different levels. Sometimes there are also special girl camps on the weekend.
The course usually starts at friday night and ends sunday afternoon. We started with some theory and a presentation round which was a great idea to get to know each other. Every morning, the whole team decided which of the spots we would go to, depending on the weather conditions. If there is no wind, you are able to do a lot of other funny things at the camp, like hiking uphill or taking some powder runs.
Whenever I tell someone what I saw – the mountains, the snow, the sun and the wind – nobody can believe it. It was just like one big dream.
We stayed in cozy lodgings nearby the kiting spot, surrounded by beautiful mountains and a playful area ideal for snow kiting. If you get cold, you can go to a fireplace or drink a tasty hot chocolate. I can’t wait to go back there and to devote myself to the snow kiting and the beautiful landscape.

The whole crew is friendly, open and like a big family. You should go and dare this adventure!
