The Rome Lodge 2016 – it´s a wrap
Say what you want – having that much fun at an event that has its focus rather in development, business & professional intentions – the Rome Lodge is simply amazing.
It all began three years ago that Rome SDS changed the snowboarding industry with a new approach. By going a new way to host a lodge for all the shops, pro riders and other business relevant partners, Rome showcases, promotes and networks in a house in the Austrian alps. All the guests are welcomed to test & participate in developing new shapes, styles and improvements concerning all the products Rome has to offer. A simply brilliant idea instead of battling through the declining sports exhibition circus every year anew.
This years´ Lodge was filled with new stuff, boards, styles again and included action in the snow every day. A typical day at the Lodge could be summarized like this:
- Get up and have an awesome freshly prepared breakfast
- Waste no time to get on the slopes or start a ferried tour with the latest Rome gear
- Shred all day
- Take part in so many fun competitions to win the King of the Lodge crown
- Get back to home base and network with the others over a great dinner – all the ingredients are from a local farmer, who also provides Schnapps
Appearances by pro riders are another great fact to improve the brand identification and the brand image. Especially in the tough times for the local shops, it is even more essential to earn more and more trust. Fun and great product testings with an amazing Rome staff or the every year highly anticipated sledging competition are a guarantee for the best use of the time up in the mountains. Although it could get pretty competitive at the sledge race sometimes, which makes it even more fun, when one brags about it for the rest of the time at the Lodge.
Make sure you get a look at the awesome clip from the guys at the Blue Tomato Shop in Graz/Austria!
We can´t wait to get to the Lodge in 2017!!!
