The 52 year old windsurf legend impressed the audience in Maui and finished in eleventh place/ Congratulations to Philip Köster

(Hamburg/Maui, 8th November 2015). Windsurf Pro Robby Naish left everyone speechless at the final round of the PWA World Cup on Maui/Hawaii (USA). The 52-year old sports addict proved the rest of the world that he still belongs to the best board performers worldwide and celebrated the eleventh place he made at the end of the 14-day event.

“The event was so much fun. I enjoyed to compete with much younger opponents. The conditions with light wind and big waves in the first round, supported me of course because now, only the wave rides got ranked”, explaines Naish after the final wave event of the tour.

Naish was also very happy for the german surfer Philip Köster, who he once renominated his potential suitable successor. “Philip is one of the greatest talents worldwide. No one can do similar jumps like him. I congratulate him for his third title and I am pretty sure, that it is not going to be his last one”, said Naish.

Just before the beginning of the finals, Naish got a “Wild Card” by the official association PWA. Originating from San Diego, the multiple wind- and kitesurf- winner is also known as the “waterman”. By today he rides his boards almost every single day – he just varies between a wave-, wind-, kitesurf- or stand-up-paddle-board.
