Perfect 5 wind forces do not yet make the Perfect-Move!

Just like every great story, the “Perfect-Move” storyline continues! Clearly, a lot of experience is needed to do the perfect trick or call the perfect spot your own, but what does a young, emerging Windsurf-Pro have to say to that? Marco Lufen has a lot of knowledge and skills, especially for his very young age. Therefore, it suggests itself, that he is joining our next trip to Mercedes-Benz’ Perfect Move and tells us his story.
Pretty much the first thing going through my head concerning the “Perfect-Move” was, which one of all the tricks in my entire time on the water could be said to be perfect. In my opinion, the question if the “Perfect-Move” even exists – the perfect maneuver, the perfect trick, the perfect spot – can be answered quite easily: Of Course! Just imagine going windsurfing in the boardshort on blue carribean water at a perfect wind force 5!
It really exists –
the Perfect-Move of windsurfing!
Every windsurfer – no matter if he’s a pro or just surfing for fun – has it: the Perfect-Move. Classic maneuvers, a trick or a jump in a very special style – everything can be your Perfect-Move!
We’re on the hunt for your Perfect-Move! With you, the german windsurf-legend Bernd Flessner and the JP-pros Marco Lufen and Leon Jamaer, as a part of a Mercedes-Benz promo-tour we’ll be looking for the Perfect-Move. Find out where and when to find us at the bottom of this page!

I think even just the idea of the “Perfect-Move” is really cool and I guess every surfer can imagine what this is all about. Of course it takes some time to be stabile on the board, but as soon as the you’ve got the hang of it, you’re hooked. The first time gliding, the first powerhalse, the first waterstart or the first frontlook… in my opinion all these maneuvers can be considered the “Perfect-Move”. The necessities to make it special are: the spot, the lighting, the vibe on the water, just as much as the friends, whom you share your experiences with.
My ultimate favourite trick is the Pasko, a double horizontal rotation in the air. This maneuver in combination with the conditions I just discribed? My Perfect-Move! No doubt about it!
The spots Marco recommends:
‣ Büsum in Northern Germany
‣ Ouddorp in the south of the Netherlands
…to name just a couple of spots.
My personal favourite spot changes all the time and I can’t really decide on a single one, since the conditions have to be perfect as well, to call that spot “my perfect spot”!

The Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt 2016 (WSWC) offers an amazing opportunity, to show a perfect run and pick on your rivals. This year, the WSWC is a very special world cup. Taking place for more then 25 years there’s something very special planned out for all the german riders, starting at the end of september until the middle of october in our very own waters.
I think I’m going to be able to show my Perfect-Move on Sylt. I’ve been practicing a lot at the North Sea and the Baltic lately to get used to the “warm” water temperatures. Until now, everything has been going great and I am very pleased with the outcome of my preparations. I hope that all my hard work pays off during the contest!
