This jump is not for the faint of heart. The professional kitesurfer Nic Jacobsen launches himself from one of the tallest buildings in the world – the famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai.

Residents and tourists couldn’t believe their eyes as they saw Nic Jacobsen sailing down the 1,000 foot drop building. The mass applauded relieved when he successfully landed in the water and kited across the gulf. Jacobsen, known as “the daredevil” among the kitesurfer community, reinvented himself with this amazing and breathtaking jump.

And this kind of project has to be prepared very well – you have to insure that you launch from the right spot so that the building doesn’t block the wind and furthermore to keep the kite moving the hole way down acting like a parachute. This can be very dangerous and of course you can never be sure that things won’t end badly.

We can only imagine the amount of adrenaline that must have rushed through Nic while sailing down and what kind of experience this adventure was for him. Impressed by his courage, we won’t forget this extraordinary incident.
