This kind of sports takes you to your limits and awakens your inner strength! Kickboxing is not, as many people assume, about simply “hitting a punching bag until you’re exhausted”, but about highly concentrated and coordinated execution of exercises. The sport has a positive effect on both physical and mental well-being. We introduce you to the popular sport, which is fun and intense at the same time.

What can I expect from kickboxing?

The effective whole body workout trains strength, endurance, speed, coordination, balance and flexibility. One training unit lasts about one and a half hours. Before the actual training begins, the body should first be brought to temperature with a short warm-up. From this point on, the body is always in motion without interruption due to the rapid change of movement units.  This is also the reason why the training proves to be particularly intensive. In addition, kickboxing strengthens self-confidence, both in the athletic sense and in everyday life.

What should beginners consider?

If you have never done the sport before, you should, however, focus on certain things before your first kickboxing lesson: a certain basic endurance can be an advantage for beginners, but is not absolutely necessary. If the strain is too much for the body, just slow down a bit. After just a few units you will notice how your endurance improves. If circulation problems occur during exercise, it is best to use glucose. Certain protective measures should also be taken. Wrists can be protected with boxing gloves or bandages. Mouth protection should also be worn in any case, as an accidental hit on the mouth can quickly lead to tooth loss. Shin guards can also be considered, as this part of the body is particularly sensitive.

The sport is either offered in special studios or in fitness studios within a course program. In any case, you can really give your best and sweat it out!
