Each winner of the men and women singles will take home $3.5 million, which is insanely high in comparison to the prize money of the last 15 years or other ATP tournaments. Another major development is the fact that bad weather can not affect the playing schedule at all. Due to a retraceable roof system, it allows the fans to watch the matches in all weather conditions. It takes about 6-7 minutes to close the roof, but after that we are finally free of endless breaks because of wind and rain, which happened quite often during the recent years at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the center court. Bigger, better, USA &#8211; another addition is the new Grandstand Stadium providing 8.125 seats and courts 4-6 for practice reasons or matches.
