\nCape Fear. As the name already says, is a deadly wave break in Sydney, Australia that is even more daunting than it sounds. On June 6th and 7th\u00a0the Event took place\u00a0in a National Park near Sydney and it made all\u00a0the participating surfers\u00a0reaching their limits – massive wipe-outs included.<\/strong>Surfers all around the world call it the most dangerous public contest worldwide. Red Bulls “Cape Fear” just took place at “Cape Solander” near Sydney and had 16 top surfers testing and overdrawing their limits as they rode some of the world’s most challenging and dangerous waves. All surfers had been invited by Red Bull to take part in the contest. It’s that dangerous, that signing up just isn’t an option. Also the time frame is picked individually for each event. A bigger time frame from April until August is set and the event is held, when the surf conditions are the best. This year, this just happened to be last week. The waves at the event were around 4,5 metres high and ended right in front of a dangerous cliff. A lot of the surfers couldn’t handle the waves and got smashed. Luckily no one got seriously injured and all the surfers survived the contest without any major injuries. 18 year old Russel Bierke was the hero of the event and took home the\u00a0golden trophy\u00a0after these two days of insane surfing. Another interesting fact, people can’t even join as visitors. The event is closed to spectators and the only way to watch it, is via a live online stream from Red Bull.
