The Lunas are real performance sandals. They are modeled like the Huarache sandals of Tarahumara. The passionate barefoot runner Ted McDonald attended (by the way , together with the “Born to Run” author Chris McDougall) this Mexican runner people in 2006, and was so impressed by the traditional footwear that he returned to his native Seattle itself in production , Since then these sandals are made there by hand.
