Bali Mountain Retreat Batukaru – Yoga in the mountains

ENERGIZING PLACES
Bali Retreat

Bali Mountain Retreat on the Mountain of Batukaru is the perfect place to relax and experience the real Bali, far away from the usual tourist industry.

Situated on top of the mountains, you will enjoy the silence, breath the fresh air (not implicit for Bali due to the high level of environmental pollution(, enjoy the breathtaking view of the coast and obviously so some Yoga. This place invites you, to hold still, keep calm, and get inspired by the beautiful scenery.

Richard (the owner of the accomodation) and his balinese wife will provide you with some insights to the balinese culture and know how to set the stage for a memorable stay. You will find 2 yoga studios that can be booked for retreats, alternative you can also practise with a professional indonesian yoga instructor.

STATEMENT

This Retreat Centre is really in the middle of nowhere – one gets simply amazed by the beauty of the nature. You should bring everything what you need for your stay, including enough books and mosquito repellent. You won’t find any shops nearby. However, Richard and his team will take care of your culinary needs – so you don’t need to worry about that. And one thing is for sure: I have never had such good and fresh food on Bali before.

JOURNEY

Bali Mountain Retreat is quite hidden in the mountains and even for local drivers a mission to find the right way. I recommend you to ask Richard for detailed instructions for your journey there or you ask for a driver who can pick you up from the airport.

ACCOMMODATION

They have accommodation facilities for every budget. The rice house (a small wooden house on stilts, original build for the storage of rice) is very cozy. However, you can also spoil yourself and choose a more luxury alternatives.

ALTERNATIVES

There are wonderful hiking trails to explore. Richard created a small map with the main routes and trails, so that you won’t lose your way. One last advice: watch the sunrise from the “Birds Nest”.
